Next Week is Friendship Week!

posted Feb 9, 2012, 3:23 PM by Lee Drever
Our student leadership T.E.A.M has some great events planned this week to promote and celebrate friendship.

All of the funds raised during events will be donated to ‘Cassidy’s Craft Campaign’.  As many of you are aware, Cassidy Briggs was a Cloverdale student who spent a great deal of time in Children’s Hospital.

Cassidy loved crafts and created this campaign to ensure future children at the hospital had high quality crafts to use during their stay.  We are so happy to continue to support her great cause… isn’t that what friends are for?

Valentine Raffle Basket

Buy your tickets for a chance to win our fabulous Valentine gift basket.

Come by the office to see the basket on display.
Good luck!

Wear your valentine colours and earn points for your house team! There will be a prize for the primary and intermediate classes with the highest participation.

“Walk For Your Heart”

We are having Walk to School days all next week.  Students will have a card to collect stickers each day they walk to school. Students who walk to school for all 4 days will be entered to win some fabulous prizes on Friday.

Cassidy’s Coin Drive
All Week
We are asking students to bring coin donations of quarters, loonies or toonies to support Cassidy’s Craft Campaign.  Maybe kids could do some jobs around the house to help out and earn some change to donate!

Valentines “Sock Hop”
Thursday, February 16 at lunch
Our dance leaders will lead students of all ages (K-7) in a lunch time of music, dance, fun, and exercise!  Admission is by donation.

Random Acts of Kindness
All Week
Students who are kind and friendly to others will be recognized with a special heart that will be displayed in the front hall.  We are encouraging students to focus on others and help to make someone’s day.

We look forward to a wonderful week celebrating and learning about friendship, belonging and helping each other.  That’s what Adams Road students are all about.
